Trigger Point
What is a trigger point?
Muscles that contain trigger points refer to aches and pains, tenderness, decreased strength and/or restricted range of movement. Other effects include headaches and poor circulation.
How are they caused?
Via a chemical reaction from the brain, muscles are signaled to contract (become short and tight).
Why are they triggered?
Injury, stress, overload, poor posture.
How will I treat trigger points?
I will apply pressure to the trigger point, which will flush the muscle and stop the chemical message and contraction.
This will inactivate the Trigger Point and give immediate relief. With no more contraction = no more pain, aches, headaches or restricted movement.
