Counselling/Somatic Psychotherapy

Margie is a professional counsellor and somatic psychotherapist. She is a Clinical Member of A.S.P.A., Cancer Counselling Professionals (NSW Cancer Council) and P.A.C.F.A.

Somatic psychotherapy is an integrative, mind/body approach to psychotherapy working with ‘embodied experience’ and can be used to facilitate exploration and expression, to develop self-awareness, self-regulation and a sense of vitality and aliveness. This approach can help deepen a sense of connection to oneself and others.

Margie has been a group facilitator for nearly 20 years and is currently a senior facilitator and counsellor with The Petrea King Quest for Life Foundation.

She gently supports people to heal from the effects of developmental and situational trauma and provides her clients with the experience of deep attunement and caring within a compassionate, empathic, therapeutic relationship.
